Eco-friendly Packaging

Our coffee comes in recyclable bags with seed paper labels—biodegradable, compostable, and designed to grow.

It’s a simple way to reduce waste and support a greener future in coffee.

Simply plant the packaging seed paper in soil, water it and watch as wildflowers bloom in its place.

Bean to Cup

A great cup begins with a seed. After two years of growth, our farmers handpick each cherry at its ripest.

The cherries are then sorted and processed using one of these traditional methods:

Washed – the fruit is fully removed and the beans are cleaned, producing a bright, clean cup.

Honey – some of the fruit (mucilage) is left on, adding sweetness and complexity.

Natural – the cherries are dried whole, enhancing body and rich, fruity notes.

Once processed, the beans are sun-dried, rested, and milled. Finally, they’re roasted to highlight their distinct flavors—ready for you to grind, brew, and enjoy.

From our farms to your cup, this is coffee crafted with patience, passion, and purpose.

FAQs

Sustainability

  • How is Manural supporting Sustainability?

Manural is focused on sustainability from the coffee harvest to the packaging of the products. Our aim is to contribute step by step (bigger or smaller) to economic, social and environmental sustainability on our processes and activities.

  • Are your bags eco-friendly?

Absolutely! The Kraft coffee bag we use is recyclable. Additionally, the labeling is printed on seed paper, which means it can be recycled and even planted to grow beautiful plants. We are proud to offer packaging that is both environmentally friendly and sustainable.

About Coffee

  • Where else can I find the coffee?

While we are actively working on expanding our distribution channels, currently you can find our coffee exclusively on our website. Stay tuned for updates as we strive to bring our coffee to more locations for your convenience.

  • How fresh is your roast?

We roast in small batches to ensure you always get freshly roasted coffee.

Our Roasting Date is marked as Production Date and from that date, the coffee will need a couple of days, depending on whether it is light, medium or dark roast, to degas (allowing the coffee to release gases after roasting) and be ideal to prepare it.

To enjoy the tasting notes and all the properties of the coffee more intensely, it is advisable to consume the coffee within 8 weeks of the roasting date.

We provide you with our coffee beans with a fresh roast, so you can enjoy the coffee within 8 weeks from the roasting date, this way we ensure that you have a very good quality coffee to prepare at home.

  • How to handle my coffee?

When handling your coffee, we recommend to use a dry spoon or measuring tool to scoop the beans. Avoid using wet tools that may come into contact with the coffee bag.

Always remember to seal and close the coffee bag after opening to maintain freshness.

Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, preferably in a shaded area.

  • What is the difference between a blend and a single origin?

A blend coffee consists of a combination of coffee beans from various countries or regions worldwide. On the other hand, single origin refers to a batch of coffee sourced from a single producer, crop, or region within the same country.

This distinction allows for unique flavor profiles and the exploration of specific coffee characteristics.

  • How do you choose the tasting notes of your coffees?

Tarrazu coffee beans are renowned for their exceptional coffee beans and intense coffee profiles. Grown at high altitudes, these beans ripen slowly, absorbing the distinct tastes of the region - rich dark chocolate and critical flavors from the surrounding trees and volcanic soil.

After harvesting, each farmer applies a unique processing method (washed, honey, natural, or anaerobic), further enhancing the bean's flavor.

Roasting, ranging from light to medium and dark, deepens the taste, while extraction methods allow customization to your preference.

At Manural, we're dedicated to offering a truly unique coffee experience. We carefully select three different processes and roast our beans to a balanced medium, allowing you to add your personal touch through your favorite extraction method.

  • What is an SCA score?

The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) is an international trade association responsible for cupping and scoring coffees. Licensed by Q Graders (CQI), they use a scoring system ranging from 0 to 100. Coffees scoring from 80 to 84.99 are classified as "Very Good," 85 to 89.99 as "Excellent," and 90 to 99.99 as "Outstanding".

Coffees with scores between 80 and 99.99 are considered Specialty Coffees, which are often known as Gourmet Coffees. These coffees are typically grown at high altitudes, are single origin, and maintain high-quality standards throughout the entire supply chain.
