Coffee from Tarrazú, Costa Rica

Relatively heavy body with a complex cup profile and exquisite aroma.

Tasting notes:

A Soft Natural process of high-altitude Typica delivers a bright, refined acidity with crisp notes of lemongrass and vibrant orange zest. This profile is grounded by a deep caramel sweetness, leading to a balanced cup.

Farm

Don Herminio (Copey, Dota)

Miguel Padilla blends sensory expertise with a profound commitment to the high-altitude landscape of Copey. By mastering the delicate balance of combined drying methods, he achieves a Soft Natural process that has become his signature, ensuring every harvest delivers a top-scoring cup.

For Miguel, quality is driven by technical precision at extreme elevations. By harvesting at the highest peaks of Copey, reaching 2200 meters, he integrates modern mastery with a deep respect for his family's heritage as his family was one of the first ones bringing coffee to the region.

"Mastering the artisanal details of these drying methods," Miguel says, "is how we ensure that our high-altitude harvests consistently reach their full potential and protect the legacy of our land for the future."

Natural Process

A great cup begins with a seed. After two years of growing on the coffee tree, the ripe cherries are handpicked.

The whole cherries are sun-dried or shade-dried with the fruit still intact, allowing the sugars in the cherry to gradually transfer into the bean, creating sweet, fruit-forward flavor.

The beans are rested, milled, and shipped.

Small-batch Roasting

We roast in small batches to bring out better flavor and ensure your coffee arrives fresh.

Smaller batches allow us to fine-tune the roast curve, adjusting heat and timing with precision so each bean develops its natural sweetness and aroma.

Eco-friendly Packaging

Our coffee now comes in PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) bags, giving a second life to plastics and keeping waste out of landfills.

They reduce our carbon footprint while providing an absolute oxygen barrier to keep your microlots fresh.

Once empty, recycle them.

Small deliveries arrive in plantable seed-paper bags and bigger deliveries arrive in recyclable kraft boxes.
